Decorating miniature weddings cars are actually much more complicated than their actual-sized counterparts. It took me nearly seven hours to complete decorating everyone one of them, including making the miniature roses.
Here is a bridal bouquet with pretty earthy hues of green dendrobiums and creamy champagne roses for a pre-wedding photo-shoot session. I always love to pair some dendrobium orchids with flowers of softer look such as roses, because it brings out an edgy touch to the overall feel of the bouquet. Don’t you think that the green dendrobium orchids in the bouquet resemble so much like butterflies?
Sometimes, I have clients who requested for artificial butterflies in their bridal bouquet and wedding centerpieces to complement their garden or fairy theme. You know, those butterflies made of wires, nylons, and tons of glitters. As I have always believed in using natural ingredients in floral designing, I usually prefer to substitute these artificial butterflies with orchids because it’s more organic and natural. Moreover, it is more cost-effective to use natural substitutes than artificial factory-made ones.
My best friends are tying the knot today! A sweet bouquet for the bride filled with luscious imported fresh cream roses accented with pink eustomas. I called it ‘My Strawberry Parfait’ because it looks so edible and soooo deliciously sweet!

This fabulous cake was one of the main attractions at the fairytale wedding of the two lovebirds, Tony Parker and Eva Longoria, in Paris last year. Created by celebrity cake artisan Sam Godfrey of Perfect Endings in Napa, California, who also made Oprah’s 50th birthday cake, over 1200 sugar-dough handcrafted red roses adorned this edible work of art. Apart from the insanely gorgeous roses, the cake itself was a vanilla-bean pound cake filled with crushed organic raspberry preserves and white buttercream.
This five-tier wedding cake in bold monochromatic red color is softened by its quilted fondant covering and the addition of cascading bows, made of colored white-chocolate fondant. However, pretty cake does not come cheap. This cake reportedly costs the couple a whopping US$40,000, since it was flown with an escort from Los Angeles to Paris – first class!

This one is for the orchid lovers out there! Hand-crafted sugar-dough white orchids cascading against a three tier pale cantaloupe-colored cake. White dots of royal icing and the hexagonal shape of the cake convey a fresh and different tone from the usual round wedding cake. You can always opt for fresh dendrobium orchids instead of the sugar flowers for a more tropical vibe. Alternatively, you can also go for cymbidium or phalaenopsis orchids if your wedding theme and setting is going to be a more intimate and classy affair.
